☪ Study shows pig/pork's brain is active even while dead

New study that was done recently on pigs showed brain activity even while dead. Four hours after a pig was slaughtered scientists showed sign of brain activity. Study was done on 32 pig heads for six hours. Scientists therefore suggested we should take a closer look at Human brain technology and revisit other brain studies that were done.

Because of Pig brain study, scientists made suggestions to look at brain cancer and brain diseases of the human. Imagine the medications and other outcomes thereafter.¹

²Pork is forbidden in Islam according to the text of the Qur’aan, where Allaah says.

إِنَّما حَرَّمَ عَلَيكُمُ المَيتَةَ وَالدَّمَ وَلَحمَ الخِنزيرِ وَما أُهِلَّ بِهِ لِغَيرِ اللَّهِ ۖ فَمَنِ اضطُرَّ غَيرَ باغٍ وَلا عادٍ فَلا إِثمَ عَلَيهِ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ غَفورٌ رَحيمٌ

“He has forbidden you only the Maytah (dead animals), and blood, and the flesh of swine…”
[al-Baqarah 2:173]³

Al-Bukhaari (2222) and Muslim (155) narrated that Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “By the One in Whose hand is my soul, soon the son of Maryam will descend among you [according to another report: the Hour will not begin until the son of Maryam descends among you] as a just judge. He will break the cross, kill the pigs and abolish the jizyah, and money will become abundant until no one will accept it.” ⁴

With regard to how to cleanse oneself of pig-related impurity, some scholars are of the view that it should be washed seven times, one of which should be with earth, by analogy with dogs.

But the correct view is that pig-related impurity should be washed only once. Al-Nawawi (may Allaah have mercy on him) said in his commentary on Muslim (Sharh Muslim): “Most of the scholars were of the view that pig-related impurity does not have to be washed seven times. This is the view of al-Shaafa’i, and it has the strongest evidence.”⁵
